Cycling For All, a programme whereby the International Cycling Union- UCI promotes this sport to the wide population, without entering the official competitions, while retaining all other numerous advantages of two-wheeler riding. It is nowadays intensively promoted as an alternative of commuting to work and touring the city or as a great choice for a group trip in nature.
In addition, cycling for all has become a special discipline with its ride calendar throughout the world, equivalent to road, hill and other types of cycling.
Of course, the difference lies in more flexible rules and makes emphasis on recreation and fun, discovering new places and areas. All ages and profiles of riders can apply.
The roof organisation also established UCI Golden Bicycle, a quality mark awarded to the best organised bicycle rides for all categories. So far, only ten awards were given. The strict criteria include, among others, accessibility for all types of cyclists, quality of experience and the route, and the acceptance of international participants is specially assessed.
