We have been building our story for many years, offering our guests domestic Istrian cuisine. Our philosophy is simple: we adhere to seasonal produce, offering seasonal dishes. This is the reason why our menu is constantly updated and changed throughout the year so you will always be able to taste something new in our konoba.
The specific warmth is also contributed to by the fact that our konoba is our life. It is a family business grown out of the passion and dedication of ordinary people and it is the unpretentiousness itself that is a special ingredient of our konoba. We are simply living what we love.
Our atmosphere is adjusted to all guests, from business people who wish to acquaint their partners with the culinary enchantment of Istria, through to couples who can enjoy the crackling of the fire in the fireplace, to families with children. We have specially appointed a children's playground for our youngest guests, in order for their parents to be able to spend relaxing and carefree afternoons while their children play in the park.
We are members of the "Tartufo vero" restaurant group and are involved in large gastronomic events in north-western Istria, such as "Dani švoja" (Sole Days) and "Dani istarskih šparoga" (Istrian Asparagus Days).
We are proud that our efforts have been recognised through awards: Top 5 konobas in Istria (consecutively for the last five years), Gold plaque for quality - AZRRI 2010, IQ label for top quality restaurants 2011, but the most important award for us is certainly a satisfied guest.
Our offer includes meat but also fish and seafood delicacies. Almost all the greatest gastronomic specialities are on offer: from home-cured ham, cheese and curd cheese, through cuttlefish, mussels, scampi and sole, to asparagus, truffles and Istrian ox "boškarin" meat. The offer also includes several supreme quality olive oils from local producers. Our gastronomic concept is based on excellent local basic ingredients, as well as on their traditional methods of preparation. Our kitchen does not deliver anything spectacular or extravagant, but you will be surprised by the freshness and quality of our ingredients, which are minimally processed in the kitchen, in order to preserve their original properties.
We were among the first to be granted a licence, back in 2006, for being trained to prepare and sell specialities made of the Istrian ox "boškarin" meat.

In 2011, AZRRI (The Agency for Rural Development of Istria) awarded us a certificate as the best promoter and biggest consumer of this popular meat which is increasingly conquering the peninsula's gastronomic scene.
