In July and August, the Umag(o) Summer project offers tons of concerts and entertaining shows, in addition to top Croatian musicians. Naranča theatre will be bringing its first dance performance in its entirety – the famous Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. Through his beautiful playing of the lyre, Orpheus seduces Eurydice, a beautiful nymph. She falls in love with him, and they crown their love with marriage. Everything looked perfect, but their happiness did not last, as jealousy crossed their path in the form of a snake and brought Eurydice to her doom. This entertaining music group has been putting smiles on the faces of locals and guests alike since 1965. They have taken part in nearly all important festivals in Croatia and abroad. Their music is inspired by 1960’s pop-rock, artfully combined with Istria’s musical heritage and love themes.

“Lola” Culture and Arts Association from Sarajevo is a synonym for amateur folklore and culture in Sarajevo and beyond. The association is marked by both its range and its quality of artistic expression. “LOLA” Culture and Arts Association will be presenting a series of folk dances and songs, all with great choreography danced in original folk attire.

Diatonic Strings Duo is the new musical project of accordionist Manuel Šavron and violinist Rok Kleva Ivančič, and they will be performing modern compositions in various rhythms from various genres. This eminently modern combination of violin and diatonic accordion makes for a unique experience.

The diverse “MEDITERRANEO” music programme features singers Mirko Cetinski, Sergio “Gato” Preden and Kristina Fištrović accompanied by the Ricky Bosazzi Quintet, as well as the I Canturi vocal group. This all-evening programme presents the unique characteristics of the music of Rovinj within the broader context of the Mediterranean tradition through the performance of both Rovinj’s unique bitinada polyphonic vocal songs and a cross-section of the most beautiful Italian and Croatian songs.

This is a special music and drama programme that introduces numerous guests and visitors to Serbian music, tradition, folk dress and traditions.

FEBRA band was founded in 2013 by young Umag musicians Leo Urbac and Goran Leka, but it has been performing in its current line-up (Leo Urbas, Valentina Borčić, Predrag Stojčević and Goran Leka) since 2014. With more than a hundred concerts under their belt, this exceptional quartet will provide a lovely evening of music and good fun at Trg slobode square.

Gustafi was formed in late 1980, and it has been performing ceaselessly ever since. Their broad repertoire means these young musicians are always in step with the times, providing a world-class musical experience.

The SO-DO Children’s and Youth Orchestra System was founded with the goal of implementing a social-developmental music programme to educate children and young people. Work at the SO-DO centres is carried out throughout the school year, consisting of children’s music education through orchestral performance. The orchestra also serves as an example and school of social life, allowing young, talented musicians to grace audiences with a wealth of emotions.

Mauro Staraj and La Banda is a band from Rijeka that use their unique combination of the Čakavian dialect, Mediterranean temperament and Tex-Mex sound to turn every live performance into a big rock’n’roll show.
