From 10.02. - 19.03.2017. gourmands will have an opportunity to savour delicious sea morsels at the Days of seashells organized by the tourist boards of Umag, Novigrad, Brtonigla and Buje on the territory of north-western Istria.
Restaurants will offer imaginative menus! The culinary delicacies will be paired with premium local wines and olive oils this region is renowned for far and wide.
Passionate chocolate lovers always on the quest for more in the sweet world of chocolate tastes and flavours are invited to the fifth Choco & Wine fest in Brtonigla, revealing the new trends of pairing chocolate with wine to its visitors.
The festival will be held on Saturday, 18th and Sunday 19th February 2017.
On March 11-12, Krasica, a picturesque village in the vicinity of Buje, will host the 20th "Oleum olivarum", one of the oldest olive oil fairs in Croatia. Over time, the manifestation developed into an international festival of olive oils participated in by scientific-research institutions, olive growers and olive oil manufacturers from Croatia, Italy and Slovenia.
During March, April and May the tenth Days of Istrian Asparagus will give true "asparagus lovers" an opportunity to relish in imaginative, delicious and fragrant delicacies made from Istrian wild asparagus, ranging from the renowned "fritaja" (omelettes), soups, homemade pastas and risottos to ingenious combinations with meat and fish and scrumptious desserts.
